Production underway!

Just a mini update to say that production is now officially underway!
I just checked in with our manufacturer in China, and they expect the project to be complete by May 15. They'll be shipping to contend with after that, of course, but that still puts us on track for a early-summer delivery of games.
(Provided, of course, that no ship becomes lodged in a major shipping channel and scuttles global trade. But that would be crazy.)
Prototype!

We received the Multiplication by Heart prototype this week! It's quite beautiful, and functional too.

The box contains all the cards, and also tracks your progress through the flash cards with the pockets in front
The components
I've been over all the elements of the prototype with a fine-tooth comb, and while there are some adjustments to make, they are all very minor. Printing should be able to start soon. I'm currently hoping to start sending these sets out in early summer, keeping in mind, of course, that delays could always crop up, especially with the pandemic creating delays in shipping and production everywhere. (As always, I appreciate your continued patience!)
It is good to see the pieces come together.

Waiting

I wish I had news that we were further along, but prototyping been taking longer than it ever has in the past. We've got all the files finalized, and at this point we're only waiting to see the final sample before we press go on production. However, I'm still waiting for news. I'm not sure why turnarounds that used to take two days now take weeks, but that seems to be the reality of production at the moment.
This means, unfortunately, that the decks are still months out from reaching you. For that I'm very sorry. As soon as I see the final sample and know they'll be error-free, I'll give the go-ahead and we'll get production underway. But for the moment, I'm still waiting.
A piece of good news: our partners at Mathigon have reported that in January users answered over 2.5 Million Multiplication by Heart cards! So these cards do seem to be answering a need. I'm just very anxious to get them into the hands of all of you, our backers.

Good news and slow news

The good news? The online cards we made available for free with Mathigon have now been used over 1 million times!
The other news? There's an industrial design element of making the box that I didn't anticipate, and it's slowing us down. I now have two factories working on different possible designs for the box. The whole thing is just a little more finicky than I expected. It'll still get done, but it's taking longer, and that's possibly going to push fulfillment back into the February/March region. I'm sorry it's taking longer than I had hoped, but with luck the online cards will be a good option until they arrive.
All of the other elements (cards, box art, instructions) are done at this point, so it's really a matter of getting this last tricky element complete, and then we can check the final prototypes and go to press.
