A Learning Deck for True Comprehension
Just a quick update that Multiplication by Heart will be going out next week. We'll ship to US backers in the first half of the week, and international backers in the second half of the week.

Good news! The sets of Multiplication by Heart have arrived in LA. They should be unloaded and shipped to our distributor this week (or next), and from there, shipped to you!
For most of you, no action is required. Just sit back and we'll let you know when they're actually due to arrive (looks like it'll be sometime in July).
For the small number of you that moved since backing us, you'll need to update your address. Here's how.

2. Put the email address you used to back this campaign in the "Lost your survey?" box, and click "Get My Survey"
3. You'll get an email with instructions on how to access your survey and update your address.
A quick breakdown on international backers:
NZ & Australia - the shipping will be a little quicker, since we have partners helping us to get your sets to you, and shipping to Australia and NZ didn't have the same delays.
Europe & rest of the world- it'll be a little slower, since we'll be shipping to you from the US. Late July would be the earliest to expect anything to arrive.

Just got this update on the ETA for the ship carrying Multiplication by Heart:
Vessel schedule to arrive in LA port on 06/20, and estimate to discharge and available around 06/25. Estimate to deliver [to the warehouse] around 06/30.
So if all goes well, it looks like we'll be able to begin mailing out Multiplication by Heart in the beginning of July!
There have been a few surprises over here since my last update.
As anticipated, the printing of Multiplication by Heart was completed around May 11. I received a finalized copy from our factory in China, and everything looked great. The next step was for the cards to get packed up and sent on the next boat over.
Except: the next boat over was a more complicated proposition than it had ever been in the past. Global trade routes have been upended by the pandemic, and there are more goods trying to move around than there are ships to move them. What's followed is an insane bidding war to try to get space on boats. Our proxy in China would tell us they could secure a spot on a boat for us, but the price was double what it normally is. We'd agree, desperate to have the cards shipped over. Then we'd hear that the ship left without our games on it, since someone else had swooped in and gotten our space for themselves at the last minute. Then, inevitably, there would be another container we could reserve the next week that cost even more.
It was getting pretty crazy.
The good news is, we managed to actually get space in a container on a ship that left China on June 3. It's finally on its way.
This was all happening with another event overshadowing it: our second child was born on May 15. That was mostly good news, but it was complicated good news. Our original due date was today, and various health complications, before and after the birth, have kept us... let's say, on our toes. I'm optimistic about the health of both mother and baby at this point, but it's been a wild ride.
Timing notwithstanding, things are looking like they're moving in the right direction all around.
We just got word from our printer that the Mass Production Sample has been completed. That's the final step before the printer actually throws the switch and starts the printing process. Which means that Multiplication by Heart is now going to the presses, and should be completed by May 10!
After that, we'll need to ship to our warehouse in the US and begin the fulfillment process. We're working hard now to make sure this goes as seamlessly as possible.
You probably don't need to do anything at this point, unless you've moved since you backed us, in which case you can update your address by going here and entering the email you used to get your BackerKit survey and update your mailing address.
